Culbertson's paper on Dissolved Oxygen in the 'Woce Hydrographic Program Operations and Methods - July 1991' OxyRedo fixs DO_mass and DO_volumne when incorrect values for VIO3, NIO3, blank, or standard have been entered. -The following CLEAN parameters were used. Reset #RECS, MIN & MAX values in header. -The following CHANNEL(S) were removed from file. Temperature:Sample Dissolved_oxygen:mass Thiosulfate_titer Flask_Number Flask_Volume Blank Standard Salinity:CTD CLEAN functions: - Reset #RECS, MIN & MAX values in header. - Change Pad Value to -99 in All Channels. - Delete Empty Channels: 0 deleted. - Set channel name post-colon letters to upper case. -The following SORT parameters were used. Sorted by channel: Pressure Pressure channel sorted according to values in sort channel $END *COMMENTS Analysis methods: ----------------- Salinity samples are collected in glass bottles and analyzed on Guildline model 8410 Portasal Salinometers which are standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. Oxygen samples are analyzed on an automated Winkler titration system following the procedures of Carpenter (1965). A Brinkmann model 665 Dosimat and model PC910 Colorimeter is controlled by Visual-Basic program to titrate the oxygen samples. Nutrient samples were measured using an Autoanalyzer II, following the procedures outlined in Barwell-Clarke and Whitney (1997). Nitrate/silicate samples were defrosted about 24 h before analysis. Phosphate samples were rapidly defrosted in moving room temperature air or warm water. Lab temperature was noted periodically, and may be found on the original data sheets; it was generally around 26C. !-1-- --2--- ---3--- !Bott Pressu Oxygen: !le_ re Dissolv !Numb ed !er !---- ------ ------- *END OF HEADER 386 1.8 7.050 385 10.3 5.601 384 20.8 5.054 383 30.7 4.484 382 50.7 3.653 381 55.8 3.367
