H., 1965. The Chesapeake Bay Institute technique for the Winkler dissolved oxygen method, Limnol. Oceanogr., 10, 141-3." Pooled standard deviation for dissolved oxygen : Sp=0.033 mL/L for 9 samples analysed in duplicate. Bottle salinities : Analysed onboard using an Autosal model 8400A and standardized using standard seawater with a chlorinity of 0.99994 Pooled standard deviation for bottle salinities : Sp=0.007 mL/L for 13 samples analysed in duplicate. Nutrients : (silicate, nitrate plus nitrite and orthophosphate) Analysed onboard by Janet Barwell-Clarke Nutrients were analyzed using Technicon Autoanalyzer II components. Reactive silicate and nitrate plus nitrite were determined according to Technicon Industrial Methods No. 186-71 W and 158-71 W respectively, and soluble orthophosphatewas determined using a modified Technicon method as described in : Brynjolfson, S.J., 1973. A modification of the Technicon methodology for the determination of orthophosphate in seawater, Paper presented at Water Resources Services, Vancouver, B.C." Duplicates were taken for 36 of the samples and the pooled standard deviations Sp calculated are as follows : Nitrate plus nitrite : Sp = 0.044 uM for 36 samples analyzed in duplicate Silicate : Sp = 0.135 uM for 36 samples analyzed in duplicate Orthophosphate : Sp = 0.0037 uM for 36 samples analyzed in duplicate Oxygen isotopes : Samples taken, data not included - contact Fiona McLaughlin for information Barium : Samples taken, data not included - contact Fiona McLaughlin for information Total CO2, Alkalinity and Carbon-13 Samples taken, data not included - contact Fiona McLaughlin for information !--1-- -2-- --3-- ---4--- ---5--- --6-- --7-- --8--- !Bottl Samp Depth Salinit Oxygen: Nitra Silic Phosph !e_ le_ : y: Dissolv te_ ate ate !Numbe Numb Nomin Bottle ed plus_ !r er al Nitri ! te !----- ---- ----- ------- ------- ----- ----- ------ *END OF HEADER 24. 213 2. 16.263 9.167 0.0 14.4 0.20 23. 214 4. 16.790 9.153 0.0 14.3 0.22 22. 215 6. 23.240 8.940 0.9 11.1 0.60 20. 216 8. 26.872 8.911 1.5 9.5 0.81 19. 217 10. 29.132 8.974 1.5 8.2 0.92 18. 218 12. 30.336 9.016 1.7 8.1 0.99 17. 219 14. 30.907 9.168 1.4 7.2 1.00 16. 220 16. 31.429 9.186 1.4 7.1 1.02 15. 221 18. 31.557 9.002 1.8 7.8 1.06 14. 222 20. 31.695 8.708 2.2 8.5 1.11 13. 223 25. 31.812 8.678 2.8 9.8 1.13 12. 224 30. 31.983 8.273 5.1 13.7 1.28 11. 225 35. 32.048 8.195 5.5 15.2 1.31 10. 226 40. 32.169 7.910 7.0 17.8 1.39 9. 227 45. 32.267 7.809 7.7 19.5 1.45 8. 228 50. 32.321 7.881 7.6 20.3 1.44 7. 229 55. 32.330 7.835 7.7 20.4 1.45 6. 230 60. 32.352 7.723 8.1 21.0 1.47 5. 231 65. 32.381 7.630 8.7 22.0 1.51 4. 232 70. 32.464 7.496 9.8 24.5 1.58 3. 233 80. 32.522 7.463 10.2 25.4 1.59 2. 234 86. 32.918 7.003 13.3 33.7 1.78 1. 235 87. 32.912 7.007 13.3 33.7 1.78
