H., 1965. The Chesapeake Bay Institute technique for the Winkler dissolved oxygen method, Limnol. Oceanogr., 10, 141-3." Pooled standard deviation for dissolved oxygen : Sp=0.033 mL/L for 9 samples analysed in duplicate. Bottle salinities : Analysed onboard using an Autosal model 8400A and standardized using standard seawater with a chlorinity of 0.99994 Pooled standard deviation for bottle salinities : Sp=0.007 mL/L for 13 samples analysed in duplicate. Nutrients : (silicate, nitrate plus nitrite and orthophosphate) Analysed onboard by Janet Barwell-Clarke Nutrients were analyzed using Technicon Autoanalyzer II components. Reactive silicate and nitrate plus nitrite were determined according to Technicon Industrial Methods No. 186-71 W and 158-71 W respectively, and soluble orthophosphatewas determined using a modified Technicon method as described in : Brynjolfson, S.J., 1973. A modification of the Technicon methodology for the determination of orthophosphate in seawater, Paper presented at Water Resources Services, Vancouver, B.C." Duplicates were taken for 36 of the samples and the pooled standard deviations Sp calculated are as follows : Nitrate plus nitrite : Sp = 0.044 uM for 36 samples analyzed in duplicate Silicate : Sp = 0.135 uM for 36 samples analyzed in duplicate Orthophosphate : Sp = 0.0037 uM for 36 samples analyzed in duplicate Oxygen isotopes : Samples taken, data not included - contact Fiona McLaughlin for information Barium : Samples taken, data not included - contact Fiona McLaughlin for information Total CO2, Alkalinity and Carbon-13 Samples taken, data not included - contact Fiona McLaughlin for information !--1-- -2-- --3-- ---4--- ---5--- --6-- --7-- --8--- !Bottl Samp Depth Salinit Oxygen: Nitra Silic Phosph !e_ le_ : y: Dissolv te_ ate ate !Numbe Numb Nomin Bottle ed plus_ !r er al Nitri ! te !----- ---- ----- ------- ------- ----- ----- ------ *END OF HEADER 24. 116 2. 19.644 9.095 0.0 9.9 0.29 23. 117 4. 21.974 9.089 0.0 8.1 0.40 22. 118 6. 24.865 9.080 0.0 5.7 0.55 20. 119 8. 25.970 9.069 0.0 4.8 0.60 19. 120 10. 27.474 9.124 0.1 4.2 0.67 18. 121 12. 28.561 9.179 0.2 4.4 0.73 17. 122 14. 29.626 9.121 1.0 6.2 0.83 16. 123 16. 30.623 8.953 2.0 8.7 0.96 15. 124 18. 31.291 8.927 2.1 8.8 1.01 14. 125 20. 31.498 8.898 2.1 8.5 1.02 13. 126 22. 31.657 -99.000 2.6 9.2 1.05 12. 127 24. 31.755 8.615 3.5 10.9 1.11 11. 128 26. 31.891 8.416 4.3 12.6 1.18 10. 129 28. 32.002 8.301 5.2 14.7 1.23 9. 130 30. 32.066 8.269 5.8 15.8 1.27 8. 131 32. 32.172 8.412 6.7 18.3 1.33 7. 132 34. 32.274 7.746 7.7 20.0 1.39 6. 133 37. 32.331 7.666 8.2 21.0 1.43 5. 134 40. 32.351 7.632 8.4 21.6 1.44 4. 135 42. 32.354 7.652 8.4 21.7 1.45 2. 137 44. 32.356 7.585 8.4 21.7 1.45 3. 136 46. 32.356 7.641 8.5 21.7 1.44 1. 138 48. 32.354 7.664 8.5 21.9 1.45
