No reference to the trip depth was found in the log books but John Morris from PBS confirmed that the niskin bottle was brought up to just below the surface and was tripped at approximately 1 to 3 m. The niskin was then sub sampled in the ocean lab for salinity and nutrients. Analysis methods: ----------------- Salinity samples are collected in glass bottles and analyzed on Guildline model 8410 Portasal Salinometers which are standardized with IAPSO standard seawater. Nutrient samples are analyzed frozen using a Technicon AAII auto-analyzer following methods described in Barwell-Clarke and Whitney (1966). References: 1. J. Barwell-Clarke and F. Whitney. 1996.
