Reversing thermometers were not used and temperatures will have to be taken from the CTD records. Sample numbers were not assinged in the field so were assingned when the data a was prepared for archiving. Cast numbers were also assigned when the data was being prepared for archiving and do not correspond to CTD cast numbers. Depths are reported as nominal depths only - comparison with CTD data is needed to correct depths. Time is recorded as time arrived at station as it may have required several bottle casts to complete the station. "The water depths reported are taken from the bottom of the ice, the data report cited above includes freeboard measurements.
