There were no nutrient samples for cast #1. Notes from the analyst: Frozen samples were thawed for 24 hours at room temperature, then analysed using a Technicon AutoAnalyser. Three channels simultaneously analysed for silicate, nitrate and phosphate. To assess the precision of the analysis, 37 of the 228 samples were run in duplicate. The standard deviations of these samples are: silicate - 0.40 uM nitrate - 0.21 uM phosphate - 0.044uM Corrections were made to remove a strong bias in the samples run on one day. It is not certain that NO3 absorbances are linear above 30uM, so higher concentrations of NO3 are suspect in files 1986-90-0026 and 1986-90-0027 For details on the processing see document: 1986-90_Processing_Report.doc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- !--1--- ---2--- ---3--- --4--- --5-- --6-- --7--- !Depth Salinit Oxygen: Temper Silic Nitra Phosph ! y: Dissolv ature: ate te_ ate !
