The cruise log was probably produced after the cruise. This position is the same as for cruise 84-12 since both these cruise were part of the CCEXP project. $END *INSTRUMENT TYPE : Guildline CTD $TABLE: SENSORS ! For example: if the first record in the file started at 4.0 dbars then the program would create records at 0, 1, 2, and 3 dbars with identical temperature, salinity, conductivity and transmissivity values of those at 4 dbars. Collection method: Salinity-Temperature-pressure data were obtained with a Guildline CTD. Output from the probe consisted of analogue voltages of temperature, conductivity and pressure. The probe output was input into a 2100-series HP computer, digitized at a rate of 10 samples per second and stored on a 9-track magnetic tape. Reference: Thomson,R.E., B.M. Hickey and P.H.
