Depth had been removed. The original data could not be found. A data report was available but it listed only a selection of depths and had reduced precision for temperature and salinity. Based on study of other cruises run as part of the same program it seemed likely that the data in this file were roughly 1 value per metre starting right at the surface. With that assumption, depth was added (based on record # - 1). Pressure was derived using a linear fit of pressure versus depth from another cruise in the Knight Inlet program. (Pressure = 1.0059 X Depth) The data were then compared to the data in the report and the correspondence looks good. The maximum depth listed in the report for each cast matches the maximum in the data files. Temperature and salinity match well except right at the surface, which may be due to how the surface data were selected for the report. The errors in depth and pressure due to the estimation method are considered to be on the order of +/- 1db. The report was: Oceanographic Observations in Knight Inlet, B.C.
