Salinity surface sample were obtained from a seawater loop. When the seawater loop was not operational these samples were obtained with a bucket, and are indicated with '*' in the data record. This was changed to Flag:Sample_Method with a value of 2 instead of '*'. The source of the nutrient samples is assumed to be from the loop unless the loop was not operational. Analyzes methods: ----------------- Surface water temperatures were measured from a bucket sample using a deck thermometer of +-0.1 degrees Celsius accuracy. The salinity determinations were made ashore with a Guildline Autosal salinometer. Accuracy using duplicate determinations is estimated to be +-0.003 ppt. Nutrient samples were frozen for analyzes ashore. Nutrients were analyzed using methods from Bulletin 125 Fisheries Research Board of Canada 1960 "A manual of seawater analysis" J.D.H.
