Surface temperatures were measured with a bucket thermometer. Salinity determinations were carried out uisng an Autosal 8400 inductive salinometer. Dissolved oxygen were pickled in the field following the procedures of Strickland and Parsons (1972). DO samples were titrated ashore at the West Vancouver Lab.
