    Data Processing Notes:
    ----------------------
    These data were recovered from from paper records found in room #1246 at the
    Institute of Ocean Sciences. The documents included a bridge log, a deck sheet
    including reversing thermometer readings and a salinity analysis sheet.

    The information from the paper records were entered into a spreadsheet and
    then converted to IOS Header format.

    For event #14 the thermometers broke, so no temperature data are avaialable.
    For event #6 there are inconsistent records of the depth of the sample, but
       a depth of 155 looks more appropriate than 190 judging by the salinity.
