    Methods:
    Temperature-salinity profiles were obtained with a
    Guildline CTD (8202 Arctic probe, with 8101 deck unit).
    The probe was equipped with a 0-300 dbar pressure transducer.
    The data were recorded to paper chart, and digitized later.
    A Hydrolab TC-2 was used as backup, but the
    temperatures were sometimes below the freezing point.
    Salinities were computed using Perkin-Walker formulae.

    The Hydrolab data are of reduced accuracy: 1degC, 1ppt
