Salinity surface sample were obtained from a seawater loop. Analyzes methods: ----------------- Surface water temperatures were measured from a bucket sample using a deck thermometer of +-0.1 degrees Celsius accuracy. The salinity determinations were made at sea using with either an Auto- Lab Model 601 MK III inductive salinometer or a Hytech Model 6220 lab salinometer. Accuracy using duplicate determinations is estimated to be +/- 0.003 ppt. Nutrient samples were frozen for analyzes ashore. Nutrients were analyzed using methods from Bulletin 125 Fisheries Research Board of Canada 1960 "A manual of seawater analysis" J.D.H. Strickland and T.R. Parsons, and subsequent editions.
