Analyzes methods: ----------------- Salinity samples were analysed within 4 or 5 days after collection of the samples. The values are the results of determinations on the Auto-Lab inductive salinometer and are considered to have an accuracy of +/- 0.003 0/00". Plant pigments were measured by the modification of the Richards with Thompson (1952)method. described by Strickland and Parsons (1960). Productivity samples were taken from the surface and from 5 depths which matched the percentage transmission of light by a graded series of neutral density filters. The samples were incubated in daylight simulating in-situ conditions. References: 1. Canadian Oceanographic Data Centre. MS, 1963.
