    Sample analyses methods:
    Sea Water Temp:
    Shipboard reading of reversing thermometers
    Salinity:
    Shore lab analyses. Analysed in a modified Wenner-Smith-Soule
    salinity bridge.
    Dissolved Oxygen:
    Shipboard analyses. A modified Winkler method was employed, using
    125 ml. samples.
    Nutrients:
    Shipboard analyses. Analyses were made using methods described in
    Fisheries Research Board of Canada manuscript report "Standard
    Methods of Seawater Analyses, Volume I" by J.D.H. Strickland,
    July 31, 1957.
    Phosphate values are accurate to one place of decimal, although
    reported to two places.
    Nitrite values are reported to the nearest 0.01 unit. Values less
    than 0.005 are reported as 0.0.
